Dan Navarro

Dan Navarro is better known as one half of the acoustic duo Lowen & Navarro, who, for the past 20 years, have barnstormed the country on the heels of their 11 albums. L&N still continues to record and tour, though on a diminished schedule since Eric's 2004 diagnosis with ALS, aka Lou Gehrig's Disease. So, for the past three years Dan has been stepping out on his own and playing greater and greater numbers of solo shows all over the country.

The distinguishing marks are the same for Dan solo as they have been with Eric Lowen all these years -- songs of insight and experience, delivered straight up with honesty, passion and grace. His songs (written with Eric Lowen, with other collaborators and on his own) have been recorded by artists as diverse as Pat Benatar (the Top Five smash "We Belong"), The Bangles, Dionne Warwick, Dave Edmunds, and many more.

(Nothin' But) The Flutterbies

The Flutterbies are Los Angeles' hottest alt-country upstarts. Fierce and fashionable, lead singer Maureen Davis fronts the band with a dusty, honey smothered voice that "...oozes sass and soul..." (Music Connection, April 2009). Equal parts romance and riot, Maureen and The Flutterbies (pronounced "flutter-byes") seduce with pop sweetness and satisfy with bluesy grit.

...the Flutterbies sound can best be described as Bonnie Raitt on a blind date with Beck while being served a shot of Southern Comfort by Janis Joplin in a Louisiana juke joint... When asked about the Flutterbies inspiration, Mo, laughing, searches for the words to describe the bands influence and unique sound. "Heartache and sex..."

The group's debut EP THE FLUTTERBIES FEATURING MAUREEN DAVIS was produced by slide guitarist Bart Ryan, engineered by Grammy winner Seth Atkins Horan, and co-written with Powerpop luminary Adam Daniel. The recording also showcases the talents of drummer Christopher Allis, bassist Steve Whalen, keyboardist Jamieson Trotter, and backup vocalist Molly Pasutti.
